About Pauline Lawson
Pauline has recently developed a new series collection of what she calls "Watermarks" which involves a minimal abstract approach using a Japanese technique with large brush strokes.

Education
1955-1961 |
Pauline Lawson attended the College of Art and Industrial Design, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England where she studied Commercial Art, after which she studied Life Drawing and Textile Design at King's University, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England
|
1970 |
Pauline emigrated with her family to Canada. Once here, she took Private Studies with the late Professor David Anderson, University of Victoria, BC. These included Silk Screen Printing and Drawing. She spent two years studying with Professor Anderson.

1997-1998 |
During this year, Pauline attended Art Promotion Workshops at Opus, Vancouver B.C and an Art Expo Workshop, New York, on Giclee Printmaking

1976 |
Arbutus Tree Gift Store, Gibsons B.C: Designed and painted doors, windows, wall hangings, business cards, and signage.

1979 |
Langdale Elementary School, Langdale, BC: directed and designed mural project with Grade 7.
|
1984 |
St. Mary's Catholic Church, Gibsons, B.C. Directed and designed an "illustrated" Rosary with children at the church. Later presented to His Holiness Pope John Paul II on his visit to Canada, it now hangs in the Vatican Art Bank.

1987 -1992 |
The B.C. Cancer Society, "Camp Good Times", Roberts Creek, B.C.
Founder & Director of Murals for five years; these murals are now printed to raise money for cancer research.

1988 |
Langdale Elementary School, Langdale B.C.: Director Designer, Murals for Lobby Entrance and Stairs, with staff and pupils.
Coast Cable viedeotaped and broadcast this project as a documentary.
